The Arcadian by Thomas Cole
We are excited to present Arcadia, written by Tom Stoppard, as our Spring production:
Arcadia is set in an English country house, taking place in the early 19th century and 1989. Two narratives run parallel – the current residents and scholars of 1989 examine the lives of those that lived in the house from 1809-1812. Past and present play off each other, blending two times in one house; the history of the space speaking with the present. I have and always will be interested in how time is perceived, how history talks through space. It will be fun exploring the two times in relation to our own.
