Hannah-Rae Sabyan is finishing her fifth year at the University of Toronto, Specializing in Drama and Majoring in English. At the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies she focused on the playwriting, directing and acting streams of the program. Her performance credits include: Beckett Shorts (CDTPS MainStage), Antigonick (CDTPS), A Doll’s House (WINDS), Sweet Charity (UC Follies), and Les Miserables (Glass Half Full Productions). As a Director she directed the verbatim piece In Conflict by Douglas Wager (CDTPS) and most recently the greek tragicomedy SEVEN by Ned Dickens (UC Follies). Hannah-Rae Sabyan looks forward to collaborating with and supporting all of the artists in the UC Follies 2017/2018 season.
Emma Davies is a fourth year UC student completing an English and Philosophy double major. This is her second year on the executive, and her third year working with the follies having been part of the ensemble for the UC Follies production of Legally Blonde the Musical. She has also previously been nominated for a Drama Coalition Award for her costume design. Emma is thrilled to be working with the exec, and hopes you enjoy the 2017/18 season
Nicole Karges is excited to be spending her last year at the University of Toronto with the UC Follies. She has trained at the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies for the last three years and is thankful for the opportunity to remain in the UofT theatre sphere. She has been performing, directing and creating various theatre and film pieces in Toronto over the course of her university degree. Some of her recent performance credits include co-creating/directing and performing in Inamorata’s Picaza for the 2017 Toronto Fringe Festival, In Conflict, and the short film Annabelle (Sheridan). Nicole is very excited to be acting as unofficial Creative Advisor to the Follies while also being super thrilled to be amongst such insanely talented people.
James is the Artistic Director of the UC Follies. He's also one of the Festival Coordinators for the Drama Coalition for the second year in a row. He's also the VP Internal of UofT Improv. He's also bilingual.
Helen (Zidi) Hu
Helen (Zidi) Hu is in her third year at the University of Toronto, studying at Rotman Commerce with a specialization in Public Accounting. This year is her second year with the UC Follies and she is excited to put all of her classroom knowledge to practical use. Helen has a strong background in accounting and budget keeping, so she will be able to maintain the Follies’ expenses effectively. Although Helen doesn’t have much experience in theatre and drama, she is confident that she will be able to keep the Follies’ finances in check/cheques! (Literally!) She is looking forward to a wonderful year!
Media and Marketing Manager:
Yolanda Araos is a fourth year student specializing in History with a minor in Political Science. This is her second year working with the UC Follies as the Media and Marketing Manager, and she is thrilled to be a part of this exciting executive team for another year! Yolanda is looking forward to a great season.

Hi, my name is Eiléanór and I’m a third year student at U of T, double-majoring in Drama and English. So far, my experience with campus theatre has included acting in 3 shows and helping backstage for 2 others. I’m super excited to become even more involved in the U of T drama community this year as secretary and Drama Coalition rep for the Follies. Can’t wait to work on and watch all the amazing shows this season!
Costume and Props Manager
Alex Pompilii is a second year Cinema Studies major (possibly specialist) with a Drama minor. This is Alex’s first year on the executive but his second year working with the Follies, having starred as Brad Majors in the Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast of his freshmen year. Alex looks forward to working with the Follies on their fabulous 2017-2018 season!
Sketch Comedy Director
Kate is the head writer of the UC Follies sketch comedy troupe. The head writer organizes shows and events for the troupe, and is in charge of selecting new members during our audition season, heading writing meetings and rehearsals and making sure everybody is laughing all the time.
